Dive Ninja Takes First Place in All 7 Readers Choice Awards Categories – Including Best Overall Dive Center

It’s an incredible day at Ninja HQ! We are super excited to announce that Dive Ninja was rated #1 in ALL 7 CATEGORIES in Pacific & Indian Oceans at the Scuba Diving Magazine’s 2023 Readers Choice Awards — including taking first place for Best Overall Dive Center! Our entire team is blown away by this amazing news. Especially when you consider we are in the Pacific & Indian Oceans region competing with dive shops in mega iconic dive destinations like Indonesia and the Maldives. It really helps put diving in Cabo San Lucas and Baja, Mexico on the map as the world class diving destination we all love so much. The awards have 7 distinct categories for dive operators. Here’s how we ranked:

• First Place, Best Overall Dive Center
• First Place, Quality of Diver Training & Courses
• First Place, Quality of Staff
• First Place, Attention to Safety
• First Place, Quality of Facilities
• First Place, Quality of Dive Boats
• First Place, Quality of Rental Gear

And it doesn’t even end there. We have also been informed that Dive Ninja is the first dive shop to ever be rated #1 in all 7 categories in the 30 year history of the awards. “I’m at a loss for words. I can’t believe our small shop was able to make it in the top 10, let alone take first place in every possible category. It’s such a special feeling to see all our hard work pay off and to show that a tiny conservation focused dive shop could rank alongside the much bigger, heavier hitters in a region packed with so much of the world’s best diving. All I can say is thank you so much to all of the amazing ninjas around the world that have supported us over the years.”, says Dive Ninjas’ own Jay Clue.

Dive Ninja’s Course Director, Aitor Díaz, was ecstatic when we told him the news: “To see all of our teams hard work and passion come together to take first place not only in quality of dive training & courses, as well as quality of staff and best overall dive center  — but to be ranked first place in all 7 possible categories is a dream come true.” 

The awards will be given out at this years DEMA Show in Orlando, Florida taking place November 1-4, 2022 at the Orange County Convention Center. Jay and Aitor will be at the Dive Ninja booth #1613 at DEMA representing the team. The award winners will be officially announced in the World’s Best Diving issue of Scuba Diving Magazine coming out in early November.
