Local Activities and Day Trips Terms & Conditions
Booking and Cancellations
To confirm a reservation we require a deposit of at least 30% of the total of your invoice. The deposit will be refunded in case of a cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the activity. However, if a reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of your activity, your payment will be forfeited. We understand that sometimes plans change or things pop up. If for any reason you need to cancel your trip or your activity please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
We constantly communicate with our local operators to make sure conditions will be safe for the activities planned, but since our ninjas have yet to figure out how to control the weather, sometimes activities may be canceled and/or moved around to better fit the local weather conditions. We operate on a flexible schedule and will do our best to make sure you are able to get the full experience of your activities. In case the port closes and we have to cancel your activity due to extreme weather or other issues outside of our control, we will do everything in our power to work with the local operators to give you the option of either rescheduling the activity or give you a full refund.
Liability
Some of our activities and tours may take you to places that are far away from urgent medical care and could be deemed dangerous – including, but not limited to, swimming in the open ocean, diving with sharks, freediving, scuba diving, whale watching, and so on. You enter all activities at your own risk. By registering for our local activities and day trips you are stating that you understand this risk and waive your rights to hold Dive Ninja Expeditions or any of their staff liable for any harm that may come to you. Additionally you waive the rights of anyone tied to you, your family, or estate to hold us liable. Despite how severe this might seem, the captains we work with and our own staff are highly qualified to deal with any emergencies following an established emergency protocol for each activity and using local establishments which can provide any proper emergency services required.
Insurance
We highly recommend that any diver/traveler obtains travel and dive insurance for their trip. In case of a dive accident, emergency-room and service costs can be quite significant, but would be covered by your dive insurance. Travel plans might have to change at the last minute, like flight delays or cancellations, lost luggage and unforeseen events might affect your vacation plans and cause financial losses, which can be covered by travel insurance. We offer insurance through our partnership with DiveAssure, a world leader in dive & travel insurance, if you are interested in purchasing it. Although it is not mandatory in Mexico, we recommend all divers to have this backup. To purchase dive and/or travel insurance, click here.
